Excalibur is a game that is inspired by the legend of King Arthur, and which was developed by Net Ent.
In Excalibur, you will learn a little bit about King Arthur and about the Knights of the Round Table. You will see the Lady of the Lake, a black knight, Merlin, Lancelot and Guinevere, Morgana, all the main characters from the legends of Camelot. The game seems to have a very nice design, and it sports 5 reels with 20 paylines, while paying prizes of up to $40,000.
The design in Excalibur is one of its strong points. There are a lot of golden decorations surrounding the wooden reels, and on the symbols you will see a mix of images which have the main characters from the stories, and playing cards which are used as heraldry shields.
You can wager anywhere between $0.01 and $80 each round. A bet covers up to 20 lines, and in each case you decide how many coins you use, the range being 1 to 4. The denomination of a coin goes up to $1 only.
The image of Excalibur is used for the slot’s wild symbol. You will get paid twice as much when the wild substitutes for a symbol, and gets you a new win. Wilds don’t replace scatter symbols, but otherwise they can be incredibly helpful when they show up in the right place. They also form combinations out of wilds only, if they happen to occupy a payline. The payouts in that case would be from 10x to 10,000x.
A Golden Excalibur wild is also used in the game, for the 3rd reel. The only difference is that the multiplier it applies is at 4x, instead of 2x.
Finally, we have a symbol which has a Golden Chalice on it, and which gets the role of the scatter in this game. A scatter symbol will pay big, but first it needs to appear enough times on the slot’s reels, even if the positions aren’t on the same line. You can win anywhere between 2x the wager (two scatters) and 500x (five scatters).
You also win 10, 20 or 30 free games when 3, 4 or 5 scatters are in place. All wins obtained during free spins are at 3x the normal value.
Excalibur is a game that you should find it easy to enjoy. There are good prizes in it, a decent list of features with enough multipliers to improve the regular combo wins, and the design is fun as well.
